CLIENT VISION
DeSales wished to convert the former convent located on their campus into a new
student services center.
GENERAL SCOPE
Triad provided architectural and interior design services to convert a former
convent into a new student center. The work included coordination with the local
authorities having jurisdiction to overcome unique code challenges. We also
assisted with the design and implementation of new pilot classroom renovations.
Additionally, Triad engaged in the DeSales architecture program.
“
Imagine repurposing a historic, no longer used portion of your school to provide crucial services for your student."
CHALLENGES THAT WERE OVERCOME
During the design phase, some the stakeholders were having trouble envisioning
the design. We utilized augmented/virtual reality software to create a real time,
handheld experience so that the client could stand in the space and see the final
design on their smart phone or tablet.
