CLIENT VISION
The client desired to create a “pay as you go” grocery store geared to eliminating a food desert in the Franklinton area and providing healthy food options to its residents.
GENERAL SCOPE
We helped plan and execute this, first of its kind, not-for-profit grocery store attached to the Lower Lights Christian Health Center. We guided the team through stakeholder engagement and assisted with their fundraising efforts.
“
TRIAD Architects did an amazing job envisioning and helping bring to life a new market and café as well as new executive office space. They were innovative, creative and responsive. We are thrilled with the outcome and would partner with them in the future without hesitation.”

CHALLENGES THAT WERE OVERCOME
The client had a very limited budget. During the design phase, they identified that they may be able to utilize some decommissioned equipment from Kroger. We met with Kroger representatives and the grocery manager at their warehouse. We cataloged the potential equipment noting size, electrical requirements, and mechanical requirements. We worked with the cafe to incorporate this re-purposed equipment into their plans, saving them a significant amount of money.
