The client envisioned a unique mixed-use space to accommodate a curated group of full-time artists and create a collaborative culture.

We helped this client convert a former NAPA auto parts store into a multi-use building with a gallery, artist studios, co-working space, and a residential unit.

Working with TRIAD, the complex concept of how our space should be laid out and the process for getting permits became simplified and relatively easy. We were able to move our project along at a pace that helped us get open and operational quickly. I see TRIAD as a member of the arts community. They support artists and arts organizations in many ways and have shown that through their dedication to working on arts-related projects. It’s nice to have an architect that reaches out to the art community to share what they do and with whom to collaborate.”

The building had multiple use types each with separate and sometimes conflicting building code requirements. We reviewed the plans with the building official and developed a solution that met the code constraints and provided the desired spaces for the client’s vision.
